Having worked with Hudson on his Watch Hunger Stop campaign, Kors believes the actress is the perfect representative for WFP because “she connects with people unbelievably well. She’s got this energy, optimism and compassion.”
For every guest that attended Wednesday’s dinner, Kors donated 200 meals to the WFP on each person’s behalf.
The philanthropic party ended with a performance by legendary singer-songwriter Gladys Knight, who opened with “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination” before covering Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance,” and closing the celebration with “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
